East Boundary Fence Repair

The bridge lends scale to the huge tree.

The east boundary of the house lies across the lake and is often hidden by foliage, but, in 2019, it became necessary to take down a very large beech tree there that had been identified as having a root fungus, creating the danger of major damage to neighboring fences or the bridge should it blow down. Due to pressure on the budget that year, it was decided to leave the large and ugly stump until funds became available to take it down. During removal of the huge branches, the fence on the east boundary, already dilapidated and in need of much repair, was further damaged by falling branches.

Recently, an acceptable quotation for the reinstatement of the east boundary fence was received and a decision made to remove the unsightly remaining stump of the old beech tree at the same time. This work has now has now been completed.

Hard work deserves a break.
